Mastering anterior CEREC aesthetics is about understanding and implementing a systematic sequence that will be dependable with each aesthetic case.

“CAD-CAM Dentistry for Private Practice Abutments, Ceramics and Occlusion”. CAD/CAM technology has the advantage of reduced clinical chair-time and reduced laboratory costs. The accuracy of these techniques has improved to the point where they are now comparable to conventional techniques. This presentation will review the current technology which allows the fabrication of an implant abutment without a fixture level impression. In addition new ceramic materials and techniques can be used to create beautiful natural veneers and crowns. The fabrication of ceramic full coverage restorations and veneers, with an in-office technique, will also be demonstrated.
Today’s Dental Assistant should be able to completely picture, design, fabricate and polish a CEREC in under fifteen minutes. This course will test the ability of the assistant to accomplish this with CEREC. Before this course the dental assistant should have experience with the machine and designing restorations.
This course is a prerequisite to: LEVEL TWO CERTIFICATION.
This course will test the assistants ability to take a picture, design and mill a high quality restoration in a limited time
A written test will require the dental assistant to show they have a complete understanding of the new software and the CEREC machine.
Level two certified dental assistant should be able to do more complex restorations as well as more patient interaction to help with the treatment plan.
In this course the dental assistant will be tested on:
Designing a CEREC bridge
Characterizing a CEREC Veneer
Sending a crown to the lab via CEREC connect software
Ability to do a patient conversion chairside Composite/Amalgam to CEREC
Designing an implant crown
